Sanguine was in the Slokans territory in her prefered form, Meagan. She was sitting on a swing, clutching it to the point where her knuckles were white. Looking at the ground, The tips of her feet were touching the dirt underneath the swing. Movies were playing in the shapeshifter's head as she relived some of her unhappy memories. She felt a presence close by but she didn't do anything about it. Glaring at the sand she kicked it, sending up a small spray of particles away from her, a small cloud of silt hanging in the air before disappearing. Sand was lucky to be a non-living thing sometimes. Sanguine liked being living much better though.

Sighing to herself, blue eyes didn't look up from the ground as she thought of the most recent activities. She was this close to trusting someone for the first time in years. Whether or not she had their trust was unknown to her. This made her remember the trust she had had between Meagan and herself. The shapeshifter scowled. She hated being reminded and reliving the past. Past was gone and now was the present. Remembering things that aren't here anymore only clouded her vision. She wasn't even remembering that much anymore. She was seventy-five. The event had happened when she was fifteen. That was a long gap of time. Not raising her hand, Sanguine opened her mouth to speak.

"I know you are there. Come out and show yourself. Then leave a name."

Derek was behind Meagan, a swing set rested in front of him. He couldn't tell much about the girl except she was human. "Yeah, Derek here. You all right human?" Derek asked in a soft tone, he didn't mean to make his words sound harsh, but they just came out that way. Taking a few steps closer the the female figure, Derek stopped with caution, he never let his guard down, he regretted last time he had done so.

Personally Derek hated reliving the past himself, but he had to. If he let go of his past he would be a different vampire, one whom actually beaten his slaves. Granted he was harsh on Jake, the only person he ever blooded. Knowing he was lucky to survive the blooding as well as Jake, Derek haven't pushed the limits again, he never let his guard down.

The shimmering dark blue eyes of the teenager looked at the body of the human than at her face, not caring much, as he already had a crush on a single person, now a vampire whom he created. "Just to let you know, I may look young, but I am defiantly not a cekep."

"And just to let you know Derek. I may have the body of a fifteen year old but in mind I am seventy-five. I took a quiz someplace that said so." Sanguine spoke, not looking behind her at the vampire. Should could tell he was not a cekep. A cekep would not have so blantantly come up to her. She also would have most likely sensed a cekep from farther away than she had done with Derek. A smirk left her lips as she loosed her grip on the chains and looked up from the ground, looking around Slokans.

"So...you're not going to ask me what I am doing here. And what do you want with me. You obviously came up to me for a reason." She said cooly, staying otherwise still as a wind blew, blowing her currently brown hair away from her shoulders as her eyes scanned the territory. About here body was a blank black tank-top and tan cargopants covered most of her white sneakers. Her nails were polished black. She had no idea what the vampire was wearing and didn't turn to look. She didn't care.

"So...are you going to leave this human hanging without answers. And if so what do I have to do to get them?"

The shimmering deep blue eyes of the fifteen year old closed as he listened to the words of the human. Derek knew of only one cekep whom would have walked up to this human girl or anyone for that matter as he even walks into Coena territory. "I know of a cekep who would," he muttered under his breath, hopefully not loud enough for the human to hear as he didn't want to get on the wrong side of her.

"It's my job to potroll these parts for right now," Derek walked to the side of the human whom hasn't even turned around to look at him yet. Sitting on the swing besides her, he turned his head eighty degrees to look at the human, his hand rose slowly to bursh a few strands of her hair back with the rest.

Showing no emotion, Derek listened to the last statement and question of the human, "Sorry, I use such force when talking to a human, that's how my master was before I killed him."

Sanguine glanced over at the vampire, slightly confused, hearing what he had said. As his had brushed a few strands on her hair back, she moved away; the strands falling backwards. At least until she let her left hand go from the swing and brushed it back herself. And thus she turned to look at the vampire that had stuck up a conversation with her. He had eyes similar to Meagan's...this scared her slightly and she soon looked away from him. A scowl on her face as blue eyes looked down onto the sand again. Both hands let go of the swing and with her right foot she gently rocked herself back and forth.

"I heard that was how it was with vampires and their masters. I've never killed anyone. I think vampires are cool though...the Faith especially." Sanguine said with an almost emotionless demeanor. These words were not hers. Meagan had spoken them to her when she had found out that her best friend was raised among them. In reality Sanguine didn't mind the vampiric, or even the Faith. It was their actions that she didn't like. It was like that with most people. As for the never killed anyone before. That was a huge lie. Sanguine had killed many in her past.

"If that was how your master was...good for you. I'm glad he is dead though I have never met him."

The dark blue eyes locked with the eyes if Meagan, creeped out a little they were too similar for his likeing. At least I don't have a sister...I think... Derek thought to himself looking back at Meagan as she looked away. Listening to the words of the human, Derek nodded once, and thought of what to reply. He was of the Faith, but was it right to tell?

"I am of the Faith," Derek muttered to the human, it was only obvious as well as the Coena will rarely venture into the Slokans. "My master was Coena," Derek muttered once again, "I followed Viktoria over to the Faith, which can explain why I use just harsh words toward a human," Derek mentioned, having no idea why he is telling a human.

"All right human?" My master? Derek thought to himself for a moment, "My master pushed thirteen crippled humans off of a cliff," Derek spoke softer than he has, bearly an audible whisper.

Sanguine smirked for a few moments. This vampire was a good one. Looking at the sky, she sighed to herself. It made her very angry that the Ccena did such things. She uncrossed her arms and took hold of the chains, her knuckles going white. Just at the mention of that if Derek had not already killed them then she would set out to do it herself. Looking a the ground again she calmed down and kicked the sand again.

"I hate the Ccena...one of them took my best and only friend and killed her right before my eyes. Just because I was brought up by the Faith. They didn't dare bite me and turn me. If he did...he would have died. I would have had a high chance of dying as well. And if I ever see him again, he will be haunted by the form of the girl that he had killed long ago walking up to him. He will suffer more than all the people I assasinated. I'm not human." She said cooly. She had just been speaking to herself and she had realized that she had let out a big part of her past. Cursing to herself silently she had added that she was not human. Perhaps Derek would get what race she was. Or think that she could glamour.

Sanguine raised one of her hands and fingered her silver crescent moon necklace. She always wore it with her though it was not always visible to those she was talking to. In this shirt though, it couldn't go unnoticed and was glinting in the light.

"Don't blame you," Derek muttered to her comment about the Coena. Derek never really liked the Coena, which is why he came to the Faith whom accepted him after he told everything he knew of the Coena to the current leader. The clan he was much happier in, he hated humans for a while granted, his speech was still harsh against humans, but is getting better.

"So human," Derek spoke in a powerful almost commading tone, than he continued speaking, "Wait you aren't human? You can't be vampire unless you are a cekep which is hard to detect sometimes, but," Derek stood up and took a step right next to Meagan, pushing her hair aside without asking, looking around the neck, "As you said they couldn't bite you because you were not human and so you can't be vampire either with witch blood, that can kill them.

"Your not a demon either, which leaves, Shapeshifter," Derek exclaimed at last taking several steps infront of Meagan and dropping to his knees, "Sorry for my harshness, ma'am," Derek spoke in a scared tone.

Sanguine could only laugh at the reaction that had come from the vampire. She nodded her head that she was indeed a shapeshifter and stood up from the swing, kneeling down to look at Derek in the eye. Being somewhat spontaineous and somewhat hyper at his reaction, she lifted her hand and poked him in the forehead. She took a few moments to scan his face and looked at his eyes before sighing to herself and getting back onto the swing.

"Get up...I don't deserve that respect from you..." Sanguine told him, She would have started to swing on the swing had he not been in front of her. She didn't want to hit him or hurt him in anyway. After a moment's silence she continued. "Even though I am a shapeshifter I am obliged by the Faith to report evey once in a while and come when I'm called. I don't care about harshness because I am harsh to a lot of people myself. You have no need to apologize. You didn't do anything wrong."

With this statement finished a harsh wind blew. Sanguine smiled as the air grazed her face and her arms. She was getting hot and this cooled her. If she wasn't so lazy she would have removed the bottom half of her cargo-pants but she didn't want to. Oh well...she was a weird one.

Derek kept his stance for a moment as the Shapeshifter spoke. Listening to her words carefully, Derek rose up slowly, "Yes, my liege," Derek muttered in a respectful tone, alot different from the tone he used when talking to a human. Now fully on his feet looking over at the Shapeshifter Derek realized that she was scanning his face, trying to find a hint of emotion.

"You won't find anything," Derek spoke, his emotions take a while to extract, he had only let his guard down once and it got the most of him. The words on harshness coming from the Shapeshifter, Derek nodded to them, "Yes, my leige," he spoke in a respectful trance, before trying to pick up the harshness he spoke before when he thought the Shapeshifter was human, "So Shapeshifter you're probably wondering why Vampires treat your kind with respect?" Derek asked.

With not much to do, Derek walked to the free seat on a swing right next to the Shapeshifter. "What do you know of the Faith?" Derek asked, in a partially demanding voice. Even though he was raised up by a Coena, he did know much of the Faith as well. Derek just wanted to know how much the Shapeshifter actually knew.

The Shapeshifter's hair shifted with the breeze, Derek didn't bother as his hair was lightly shook, though not really messing it up as how short it was. Derek liked the breeze as it was a hot afternoon. His deep blue eyes look at the Shapeshifter before looking at the surrondings, "The trees," he muttered, "I'm getting a bit hot, can we go over to the shade?" Derek asked his left hand rising pointing to the distance.

Derek felt all right himself, but slowly he was starting to sweat dued to the intense heat of the afternoon. It was hard to see, as he was still partly cool and wasn't in the sun very long, "I can't stay out much longer," he muttered.

"I was brought up by the Faith actually. I know that they are more open to ideas than the Ccena. They are also more modern and take a lot more...concern to human life than the other clan does. They don't kill as they feed. Also...I do know that they have been without a leader for a bit now. According to my sources, that is about to change soon. Anything else is something I won't voice publicly or would simply be about Shinran, the vampire that has brought me up. He has a servant that he is to turn soon...and he's going to dump the cekep on me to teach. Lazy bum..." Sanguine spoke darkly. Stepping off of the swing and moving towards the shade at the request of the vampire.

When she got to the tree trunk, she placed her hands on a low branch and her feet on the trunk, manuevering herself so that she could sit on one of the lower branches. and look down at the vampire. Something he had asked had sparked her interest as she looked down on him with her blue eyes, pulling from one of her pockets a hair tie that she used to bound her brown hair.Crossing her arms, she swung her legs (both on one side of the branch) gently back and forth, still having the feeling that she was on the swing.

Throught her time living with the vampiric certain steps were taken to make sure that she was...well...content. She never knew why and was not one to ask. No one told her either. They didn't dare argue with her when she had decided to leave either. All they did was make sure that she promised to keep her promise to them and that she would check in and come whenever she was called. Other than those two things (as well as arrangements for comfortable living places in Central...which she mostly repayed back through Shinran) she was left alone. It had confused her though and it seems that now she might have an answer.

"I would like to know why the vampiric treat the shapeshifters with respect. As well as you to why you call me 'liege'. Also...don't try to be harsh with me anymore."

Brought up by the Faith? Is that common for a Shapeshifter? Will, a Shapeshifter isn't common. Derek thought to himself as he listened to the female. "Yeah, the Faith is different. The polls are liking Viktoria so far, I nominated her weeks ago," Derek muttered as he continued to listen to the Shapeshifter, probably not hearing every other word she spoke.

Derek heard the Shapeshifter call another Vampire lazy, he didn't respond, but followed her to the shade. As she helped her way up onto a lower branch, Derek just jumped onto it and sat with amazing balance. "'bout time," Derek muttered once the Shapeshifter was sitting on the branch. He has meant humans with near Vampire stregnth.

"The prophecy states that a Shapeshifter will be the saviour of our race, and Shapeshifters are the ones that helped us gain our independence yet keeping a tie with Revernia," Derek spoke the word 'Revernia' harshly and with disrespect. "Most Vampires are willing to give a Shapeshifter anything they want."

Derek sat still he had a question to ask about the master of the Shapeshifter, but he wasn't going to ask if he could ask a question, "Did the Faith abuse your power to change forms? It's common..."

"If they did I was not aware of it at the time. Usually I did most anything they asked of me as long as they put forth a reason that I could accept. I don't think I really would have cared if they did or know they did. At least I would be somewhat useful to somebody." The shapeshifter told him, crossing her arms and looking at the sky. She uncrossed her arms, her left arm falling and her right arm being raised, her fingertips touching a browning leaf. She plucked it from it's place on the branch and felt it between her fingers, staring at it in thought.

"Is that so? A shapeshifter is going to be the savior of your race? Interesting. When you find said shapeshifter, tell him/her to give me a call. As far as my knowledge goes I am not the only shapeshifter in Midnight. There are at least two others if my sources are correct." Sanguine mumbled as she looked at the leaf before letting it go, the wind carrying the dead piece of plant gently to the ground where it tumbled until it hit a lone rock.

"I've been to Revernia once or twice...you don't want to mess with some of the witches there. I have heard that they have a male one this time around. Rare...I have also heard that one of the witches knows the Slayer. At least if I am remembering correctly." The shapeshifter spoke, taking a deep breath as she looked at the vampire with mild interest. It was nice to answer some questions for a change instead of asking them.

"So, anymore questions?"

OoC// Sorry about the delay, busy and all [image] //OoC

BiC// Derek listened keenly to the Shapeshifter whose name he still didn't know. Nodding his head at the first statement in this segment of her dialogue, Derek was thinking about how to answer that, but in an instant he replied not really thinking about it at all, "I seen a lot of Vampires whom abused the power of a Shapeshifter including the Faith, it's not as common around the Coena, but the numbers are about the same."

Derek nodded his head at the statment of the prohecy, "That's what the ruins say, not the runes, the ruins. Those ones outside of MidNight in the hills, there," Derek answered, "It may not be true but it could be true, never know. Some things in the ruins happened others have not.

"Jake's cousin is a Shapeshifter, her name is Kailee. She is realitivley young, she allowed one of her forms to grow as a human," Derek spoke, not sure how rare it was for a Shapeshifter to actually allow a form to grow inside of a family whom she took the place of. "She took the place of a human at the age of nine when the human died in the hospital, her current parents know and adopted her. She's fourteen now."

Derek listened about Revernia and decided not to respond to that or the last statement from the Shapeshifter. //BiC

"So...there are shapeshifters who chose to do that? Me? My prefered form is frozen in time...ageless...a constant memory of what I once had but lost at the hands of something else. I'm sure that you have heard of the saying that those who don't learn history and keep it in their minds and in their hearts are doomed to repeat it? I believe whole-heartedly in that saying. All of my shapes are ageless...all have been stolen from someone else...oftentimes those whom I have killed myself. Sometimes to live in this world you must simply be ruthless and inconsiderate. Without those moments...those times...how can one compare it to mercy and compassion?" Sanguine spoke simply, hands on her lap as she looked in front of her. The swing was creaking as the wind blew it back and forth.

"I've lived a great many years...I sometimes forget exactly how long I have been in existence...and I always wonder when and if my time in finite...since I haven't come across one of my kind older than myself...I must answer that question myself. Derek, you are supposedly wondering my name...I surely haven't told you. Among the high ranking vampires of the Faith my name is somewhat well known. It's Sanguine, if you are wondering. Just Sanguine. My first name is like a blemish on a flawless face...and misstep in the perfect dance...Rarely do I speak of it and only one person in existence uses it on me often" Sanguine spoke simply, looking at the vampire with a somewhat bored look on her face.

"Life has not treated you well has it? I haven't ever come across a vampire truly happy to be what he is..."

Derek nodded his head as he listened to Kailee sitting under the tree. The shade was lovely and it shielded him from the sun. “Yes, there are Shapeshifters, such as Kailee who choose to grow up in their form.” Derek spoke softly.

A question lingered around in Derek’s head for a while since he learned of this world, “Meagan, is there any form that isn’t stolen a Shapeshifter morphs into?” Derek asked in a tone full of curiosity. “Kailee took after a dead girl,” Derek admitted. She took the place after an eleven year old who has passed away. Her parents was pleased as they got a second chance with the same person.

“The time of existence is something we may never find out, but would all love to do so.” Derek spoke as he listened to Meagan’s last statement. “Life has never been fair, I’m a vampire turned at the age of fifteen. I turned my best friend at eight months which was a dangerous thing, and Jake will never have his full Vampiric powers because I’m still growing as a human and dying as a Vampire.”

“Coena, I was brought up by the Coena.”

Jakob looked before him. A small park. The sun beginning to rise. The places around him begun to glow and heat up. The sun begun beating upon them as it climbed higher in the sky. Immeditly Jake's eyes caught the sight of a small rabbit running across the green grass in the park to the bushes, near the trees, a wood.

There where the rabbit took a detour sat two people. Derek of MidNight and Sanguine. Jakob had no idea who Sanguine was, but definaly knew who Derek was. Derek was the one whom saved his life by blooding him. He was the one that turned Jakob into a Vampire. Derek is his master, and best friend, if you can call it that.

Quickly moving around to where Derek sat alongside with Sanguine, Jakob spoke, "Derek you called me?" softly he asked, he heard a call from Derek from telepathy, Derek's voice in his mind. The sun was not affecting Jakob as it did to the others, as Jakob is not a full Vampire yet.
